敬爱的老师，亲爱的同学们:

大家早上好！今天我们演讲的题目是《沉心静气 厚积薄发》。

荀子有言“积土成山，风雨兴焉；积水成渊，蛟龙生焉；积明成德，而神明自得，圣心备焉。故不积跬步，无以至千里；不积小流，无以成江海”。茶叶在沸水的起伏沉淀中，慢慢散发出诱人的茶香，人也应该在沉心静气中沉淀自我，找寻自我，发挥价值。

首批中国工程院院士黄旭华隐姓埋名30年，从青年到暮年，一心研究核潜艇，成为我国第一代核潜艇总设计师；中科院院士薛其坤在年轻时苦心钻研量子物理，凭借扎实的专业基础，攻克了“量子反常霍尔效应”世界难题……登高山者，其心必静，只管朝着唯一目标，不顾左右坚定向前。

看过这样一个小故事，说的是：“农夫种下了两粒种子，种子很快就长成了两棵果树苗。第一棵树决心长成参天大树，所以拼命吸收养料，储备能量，滋润每一枝树干，盘算着怎样向上生长，完善自身，为了实现目标一直努力着。相反，另一棵树却只希望自己能活着并完成开花结果的任务就够了，它很快就做到了这一点。农夫很欣赏它，并经常浇灌它。时光飞转，那棵久不开花的大树由于身强体壮，养分充足，终于结出了又大又甜的果实。而那棵过早开花的树，却由于还未成熟时，便承担了开花结果的任务，所以结出的果实苦涩难吃，并不讨人喜欢。”

这样的例子还有很多。没有鸟儿的翅膀，难道就不能飞翔么？没有鱼儿的身躯，难道就不能畅游么？不！沉心静气，厚积薄发，你能亲吻梦想的天空，更能穿梭渴望的海洋。黄州时的苏东坡不再是那个高高在上的官员，或傲气逼人的才子，只是一个真诚质朴的文人。他在林间穿行，在月下访友，看庭中树影绰约，吟出“竹杖芒鞋轻胜马，谁怕？”，吟出“但愿人长久，千里共婵娟”。他的眼界由平面的当下扩展到立体的古今。他的诗文在中华民族中代代传诵，经过历史的淘洗，光辉灿烂！

厚积薄发，是沉心静气的打磨，是不显山露水的积聚。打败我们的往往不是平凡的蹉跎，而是我们还未“修炼”成熟的内心。如果想成为一颗太阳，那就从尘埃做起；如果想成为一条大江，那就从水滴做起；如果想成为世界瞩目的英雄，那就从最普通最平凡的人做起。沉心静气方能厚积薄发。

Calm down, Accumulate richly and Break forth vastly

Hsun Tzu says: "Where a hill piles up, there are winds and rains; where waters gather into a pool, there may come water-dragons. When good deeds accumulate into virtue, higher wisdom will naturally be developed and then come the spiritual state of a saint. Therefore, without those small steps, one can never go a thousand miles; without those trickles, there will be no rivers and seas; Tea leaves slowly emit attractive tea fragrance in the ups and downs of boiling water. People should also deposit themselves in a calm atmosphere, finding themselves and showing their value.

Huang Xuhua, the first academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, has been working anonymously for 30 years. From youth to old age, he devoted himself to studying nuclear submarines and became the chief designer of the first generation of nuclear submarines in China. Xue Qikun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, studied quantum physics diligently when he was young. And with solid professional foundation, he conquered the problem, "quantum anomalous Hall effect". Those who climb mountains should be calm, moving straight towards their sole goal.

I have seen such a small story, saying: "A farmer plants two seeds, the seeds soon grow into two seedlings of fruit. The first tree is determined to grow into a giant tree, so it absorbs nutrients, reserves energy, moistens each branch, thinks about how to grow up, improves itself and strives to achieve its goals. On the contrary, the other tree just wants to live and finish the task of flowering and fruiting, and it soon does so. The farmer appreciates it and often waters it. Time flies. The first one, because of its strong body and abundant nutrients, finally produces big and sweet fruits. But the one that blossoms prematurely undertakes the task of blooming and fruiting. Because it is not yet mature, so the fruits are bitter and tasteless, and they are not likable.

There are much more examples. Can't you fly without the wings of a bird? Can't you swim without the body of a fish? No. You can kiss the sky of your dreams and shuttle in the ocean of your longing. In Huangzhou, Su Dongpo was no longer the high-ranking official or the arrogant and compelling talent, but a sincere and simple scholar. He traveled through the woods, visited friends at night, and looked at the shadows of trees in the courtyard, chanting, "Better than saddled horse I like sandals and cane. Oh, I would be fain" and "May we all be blessed with longevity Though far apart, we are still able to share the beauty of the moon together " His vision extends from the current to the ancient and modern. His poems and essays are passed on from generation to generation. After hundreds of years, they are still so brilliant.

Accumulate richly and break forth vastly. It is the polishing of calmness and the accumulation of every single bit. It is not the ordinary that defeats us but the immature heart that we have not yet "refined". If you want to be a sun, start being dust; if you want to be a river, start being a water drop; if you want to be a hero in the world, you, start being the most ordinary people. Then you will make it!
