缅怀先烈，让我们做中国的脊梁

亲爱的同学们，老师们，大家好

今天我们演讲的题目是：缅怀先烈，让我们做中国的脊梁。

清明节，对于千家万户来说是祭奠先辈，缅怀先人的日子。但对国家，对我们广大青少年来说，更是缅怀革命先烈，学习革命精神，继承烈士遗志的重要日子。

当我们站直操场上仰望五星红旗冉冉升起的时候，你可曾想过这面红旗的来之不易？那耀眼的红色可是烈士的鲜血染成的。当我们回荡在庄严的国歌声中时，你可曾记起先烈们发出的最后的吼声：“不愿做奴隶的人们，把我们的血肉筑成新的长城。”

曾有这样一群人，为了祖国利益和民族解放，在战场上抛头颅洒热血。他们英勇奔赴战场，把生死置之度外，与侵略者抗争到底。为换取子孙后代和平幸福的生活，甚至不惜以生命为代价，与敌人同归于尽。

因此我们更要学习和继承革命先烈不畏牺牲和无私奉献的民族精神。树立远大的理想，时刻牢记自己是革命事业的接班人，一刻也不能忘记时代赋予我们的使命和责任。因为我们是共和国的公民，中国的脊梁！

Good morning my dear classmates and teachers. Today, our topic is “Honour the martyrs and be the backbone of China ”.

For thousands of families, Tomb-Sweeping Day is a time to pray to their ancestors. But for us teenagers it is a time to remember and honour the martyrs, learn revolutionary ideas and carry on the martyrs’ aspirations.

   Have you ever thought about the hardship of gaining independence, standing in the playground and watching the Five-Starred Red Flag rising slowly? It is the martyrs’ blood that dyed our national flag. Have you ever thought of the shouts of the martyrs: “You who refuse to be born slaves! Lets stand up and fight for Liberty and true democracy!”

There are so many people in our history having done a great sacrifice to our countrys interests and Chinese revolution. They fought on the battlefield at a cost of their lives only for peace and a better life for their future generation.

So we should take these revolutionary martyrs as examples and set up lofty ideals. We should spare every effort to fulfill our responsibilities as remembers of People’s Republic of China.
